I just replaced a failed check valve installed 11 months ago that was plumber installed. The pvc broke apart allowing all pumped water to spray all over a finished space likely ruining a battery backup system nearly starting an electrical fire. I found the new part I buy now is the same one that failed. My confidence is low. pvc should not be the point of failure due to normal use water pressure. Warranty or not, this could be a risky mistake. Severe product quality issue.

The valve PVC broke and my sump pump spray water all over the crawlspace for hours. This had been installed for only 5 months. Do not buy unless you want a water park in your basement/crawlspace.

Just over a year old, plastic cracked and water sprayed all over. For all the sump pumps I have installed I have never had this happen with other brands of check valves. No QC? See photos attached

It fit snug around 1.5" PVC pipe. Needed to adjust the clamps a bit for 1.25" pipe. Adjust ALL 4 Clamps, don't rely on the placement as is. After sliding and tightening the clamps into position, there are no leaks or back flow. I'm confident this check valve will extend the life of my new sump pump!

this check valve has always worked perfectly for me as I have an active sump pump. I replace the valve only when I need to repair or replace the pump as a preventative measure. Easy to install.

Easy to install as long as you tighten all 4 rings ;)

Easy to install. Works great! With some good measuring, and this easy to clamp on attachment, I was able to swap out pump that had been working very hard for 6 weeks for a new one, in under 4 minutes, avoiding a wet basement!

Very good quality check valve. Knowing that a certain percentage of DIYers tend not read the instructions, I thought I would point something out: You generally see this check valve pictured in a vertical position but that is not how it should be installed. Instead, this valve needs to be installed in the horizontal position. Also, make sure to observe the fluid flow arrow. The instructions are quite clear.

Working

I installed it on a sump pump 1 1/4" discharge pvc pipe for a backyard drain, and it worked just fine.

I don't have drains in my basement floor (old house) so I need a pump for my laundry discharge. My old check-valve started leaking--this one replaced it perfectly and does the job.

We have installed this check valve when an additional pump was installed in order to avoid back up into the drain pipe connected the main sump pump. It works great!

It works great. Have two.

Have used them for 40 years. Easy to install, extremely reliable.

After less than four years, water is squirting out of the side. Caused a mess in my basement.

Not fully tested yet.
