Q:My material MEASURES 3/4" thick. They are old cabinets and deteriorating on the bottom edge. My plan is to seal them up best I can with poly or shellac, cut these channels to size and install over the edge. So in your opinion would this work?

A: Any saw blade will work. Aluminum won't dull wood cutting blades due to its soft property. You could also use a hacksaw or a cut off saw if you have them.
