A: Probably yes, but it depends on how heavy and wide the table. The next thicker size may be better.

A: The Everbilt 3/8 in. W x 1/2 in. H x 48 in. L x 1/16 in. Thick Aluminum Trim Channel can be used for this application. However, a thicker grade is recommended for heavier tables.

Q:is it safe to assume that the outside dim is 3/4" thus inside dim (opening of c-channel) is 5/8" given material is 1/16"?

A: No. The inside dimension is 3/4 inch and the outside dimension is 7/8 inch.
3/4 inside + 1/16 + 1/16 = 7/8 inches. Note that channel dimensions often typically are dimensioned from the inside.

A: We do not recommend using tin snips to cut the Everbilt 3/8 in. W x 1/2 in. H x 96 in. L Aluminum C-Channel with 1/16 in. thick as the finished result may be less than desirable. A hacksaw may be the better tool to use in this case.
