Q:Thinking of buying an IKEA tabletop to use as a desk, It's 98 Inches long and 25 inches deep (Rounded numbers) So if I used a few of these in conjunction about maybe 6-8 spread evenly throughout, do you think they'd hold up the desk + 3 Computer monitors an Xbox one and a PS4 plus whatever little knick knacks I have?

A: I know this is old but for anyone who reads this question later I'm putting my answer here. You technically COULD do this. But you'd want to have all the weight on the very back of the shelf, against the wall. If you understand how torque works, you're going from 100ft/lbs to 200ft/lbs when you jump out from a 12 inch shelf to a 24 inch shelf. These brackets are rated for 100lbs at probably a foot or less. If you but a 4'x4' piece of plywood on this, I doubt it would even hold the weight of the plywood due to the torque.
TL;DR If you want to do something like this, get a bigger bracket and you'll be fine. You want a bracket that is almost as deep as your shelf.

A: How well these 10 inch brackets will work on 12 inch shelves will be determined by how well you firmly secure them to the wall and you don't exceed the load on the brackets.
As long as you commit to these things, you can have a shelving system that works.

Q:I currently have these general types of brackets for book shelving. However, mine are brown, and measure 11 1/2" x 9". Since I can't find these anywhere on the Internet, could you please indicate the manufacturer (of the featured item) so that I can contact them?
Thank you.

A: These brackets will support the wall side of a desk, if legs are used to support the non-alcoholic side/s. I have successfully used them to support three sides of a 1_1/8" counter top desk.
