A:  This Everbilt Heavy Duty Wall Mounted Steel Padded Arm Hanger in Gray 50 lbs, Gray/Black and its non-galvanized mounting screws are primarily designed for your home use such as your garage, workshop, tool shed and basement. If used outside and exposed to the weather it will have a shortened lifespan.

A:  We have ours outside holding kayaks and no rust so far.

A:  For the Everbilt Heavy Duty Wall Mounted Steel Padded Arm Hanger in Gray 50 lbs, the standard chair weight can vary from different manufacturers. We can advise that the weight capacity of each hanger is 50 lbs.

A:  I hung a 28' extension ladder and a 14' ladder on mine. they were great, I have zero room in my garage and they were for outside under a eve.

A:  My packages had 2 in them

A:  One arm per package.

A:  Why not. I am using outside.

A:  I’d think so. Maybe Won’t last forever, depending on the weather in your area, but should work as long as mounted well. I wonder if the steel may rust and foam may disintegrate with lots of friction and use out doors, but they’ve held up very well in my garage.

A:  Yes it can. That is where I used mine!

A:  This item and its non-galvanized mounting screws are primarily designed for interior home use. If used outside and exposed to the weather it will have a shortened lifespan.

A:  Slip on a water noodle for extra protection.

A:  The problem I see would be that the ladder would scratch the finish and the metal would rust.

A:  Yes you can but it would be better if its not in direct sunlight. I think the rubber pads would last longer and if the ladders are fiberglass you don't want to store them in direct sunlight either. The metal tubing would be alright but the rubber pad might not hold up real well but could be replaced with foam pipe insulation.

A:  I hang my kayak on that on a fence. So far they seem to work OK.

A:  All I can say is these are awesome!!!!

A:  For this hanger, the distance from the screw hole to the bend is 12".

A:  I believe you could place both boards on these hangers. The length of the foam support padding on the hangers is 11.5 inches (i.e. it runs from bend to bend).

A:  It will hold them as they will take a 1 x 12 shelf

A:  I want to thank you all for the responses. I made it up to Home Depot and purchased a few of these. I have screwed them into the side of the house into the studs. The boards are not yet on the hanger. The wind and weather has limited me to hanging them.

A:  There is 12 inches from the wall to the upward curve of the hanger, subtract 1 inch for the hanger tube thickness, so you would have about 11 inches of hanging space. I have 2 hangers hanging 4 folding chairs on them at 75+ lbs. total and they are strong and not sagging from the weight of the 4 chairs.

A:  I don’t see a reason they can’t! You will have to get masonary screws or anchors though. This product only comes with wood screws.

A:  Yes. Fairly sure we used different screws than the ones provided.

A:  It depends on the weight you are planning to hang on them and what kind of screws/ bolts, etc. you use to secure them to the blocks. Mine are holding up 75+ lbs. and attached to wooden wall studs and not bending or drooping from the weight at all.

A:  If you use the right anchors in the cement block to screw the hardware included into, they should work just fine.

A:  Yes just use tapcon screws to anchor to the wall.

A:  If mounting to something other than wood, use appropriate hardware. Hollow wall installations are not recommended.

A:  Probably, but you'd have to use expanding molly bolts instead of the wood screws. I would also put some fender washers on both sides of the hanger's holes for additional support. You would get better support if you drilled out the existing holes so you could put in decent sized molly bolts.

A:  Yes We put them up in our shop for all our heavy duty ladders . They hold nicely.

A:  You can use it on a block wall but you will have to replace the provided mounting screws with some type of masonry attachment devices.

A:  Sure - But you will need to provide your own fasteners.

A:  12"

A:  The pad is 10", the arm is about 12".

A:  15" from the point of attachment to the wall (or soffit in my case) to the inner edge of the upturned section farthest from the wall.

A:  The arm projects 16 inches from the wall.

A:  The arm is 16” out from wall.
