Q:Will one tube cover 150 linear feet of base moulding?
by|Jan 25, 2020

Answer This Question
A: No.According to the instructions on the tube it says that it will cover 13.2" with a 1/4" bead. But it is a great product for fill-in finish nail holes and caulking smaller areas. It matches standard white laminate really well and I used it with generic white Behr cabinet and trim enamel and it matched perfectly.

Q:is this waterproof?

Answer This Question
A: It doesn't say that it is on the tube, and since it is made specifically to match painted white moulding, I would say probably not. Better to get something that specifically says it is waterproof.

A: No, this product is not waterproof.

Answer This Question
A: I am not familiar with the fill stick but this Finished Elegance caulk didn't do the best job at filling the screw holes (I suspect they would be similar to nail holes).

A: The chalk is better for holes or other deep imperfections - the stick is best for scratches

A: I installed Finished Elegance shoe molding to the bottom of my staircase, where the riser meets the floor. I used Finished Elegance caulk to fill the nail holes and a tiny bit horizontally across the upper edge of the molding so it appears to "blend" into the riser. Then I painted both the molding and riser the same color and it turned out beautifully. I have never tried the fill stick but could not be happier with Finished Elegance molding and caulk.

A: I filled some 1 1/2" deep screw holes and it worked well, but you might have to fill the gouges once and let it dry and shrink, then do it again.
