A:  I just soak the flush valve in plain white vinegar and the calcium goes away. I find that white vinegar is not corrosive. Heck I can eat food with it on it.

A:  pull the black cap off. shut water off first. twist the grey top, get a cool whip bowl or use your hand, flush sediment, reinstall. if rubber piece is dented ,replace it or new fill valve. note: only do this with stop under toilet!! RoseBud.

A:  Hi Bill, Turn off the supply valve, undo the top and place a cup over the top. Open the supply valve and the water will clean out the sediment. If you have sediment in the tank, the bowl fill hose can be use to squirt out the sediment in the tank.

A:  Any time water supply is stopped for a time, you can always count on sediment in the supply lines. Thus causing improper function.

The added feature of the Leak Sentry Device minimizes water loss in the tank when the tank is no longer able to hold water, for example when the flapper gets worn and no longer can seal the tank and is a great feature to have. A:  Yes. I have a Delta toilet and it works great.

A:  Fluidmaster is not a good choice. I believe I made the choice because of the price.

The 400ARHR model is our high perfomance fill valve that delivers twice the normal amount of water to the toilet bowl, this is important on high efficiencey toilets that need more water. The 400ARHR is also equipped with a regulator, to allow the valve to run more quietly than the standard 400A, and Roller Clamp to adjust your water flow into the toilet bowl. These features are not available with the 400A. A:  Only that one is constructors package of 3 and the other is individual.

A:  Most toilets tanks can accept the universal 400A because you can twist the bottom pipe to adjust the height. The HR model is supposedly High Performance! But really, how much performance do you need from a toilet fill valve. It is not a sports car??

A:  The AH has a flow control for the bowl rinse hose. Not sure about the "R". The flow control restricts the water going to rinse the bowl and may help fill the tank faster. I have used that feature a couple of times. Unless you have a balance issue I don't have a strong reason to get it.
