A:  Thank you for your interest in our Rochester Nail-Up Tin Ceiling Tiles in Vintage Bronze. In terms of cleaning the panels themselves, standard mild soap and water should be used to clean the tiles. Q:Can these be used on the wall and applied with two sided tape?

    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question! We do not suggest using two sided tape to install the Rochester 2 ft. x 2 ft. Nail-up Tin ceiling Tile in Bronze Burst. The weight of the tile may be to heavy to hold up with tape, we suggest nailing the panels. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thank you!

Q:Will these tiles work in a shower on the ceiling? With bathroom paint would they be mold and water resistant?

      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our product. Any of the finished colors of the tin tiles would be suitable to be used in a bathroom setting to avoid the panels from rusting. However, the Great Lakes Tin tiles are not going to be mold and mildew resistant. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for any further questions or needed assistance. Thanks again!

Q:Does this make the room echo?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. Acoustic control is often seen as the main feature of a ceiling panel. The actual acoustical control provided by traditional mineral board, or “acoustic” ceiling tiles, is less than many believe. Although mineral board ceiling tiles have higher acoustical control than a drywall ceiling, marketers positioned mineral board tiles as “acoustic ceiling tiles” as a product differentiators in order to sell more tiles. Other important ceiling tile product features that also need to be considered in any ceiling are aesthetics, reflectivity, indoor air quality, durability and sustainability. Acoustical control can be addressed in many ways other than ceiling tiles. For example, a carpeted floor is significantly more effective at absorbing sound than most ceiling tiles. Textile wall treatments and drapes also have a significant acoustic deadening effect. With that being said, the tin tiles themselves will not create an echoing effect. Q:Which the difference between unfinished and clear color is?
          by|Sep 14, 2015

          Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our product. As far as the color goes both panels will be the same color (clear coat will have more of a sheen to it), however we do recommend using some type of finish on the unfinished panels to prevent from rusting. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for any further questions or needed assistance. Thank you!

Q:would it be ok to have this product near a heat source?
            by|Sep 13, 2015

            Answer This Question

A:  Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The Tin Tiles have a heat index of up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, the finish on the panels does not affect the heat resistance of the panels. Keep in mind that the unfinished panels do need to have some type of finish added to them to prevent them from rusting. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for any further questions or needed assistance. Thank you!
