Q:I see by the reviews that the boards bow out from the weight of the soil. I saw somewhere that you also have thicker boards to avoid this problem but I can’t find the site where I saw it in order to place an order.

A: I planted my 2 beds with A little less than 3 yrds of loam and had no issues with bowing of the structure.

A: Yes the boards did bow a little, but it depends on how much you compact the soil. When I saw mine was bowing I simply bumped on the outside of the bed where the boards were bowing and they straightened right back up. Hope this helps. I couldn’t be happier with this product ... for the money, a win for sure.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, Cedar is one of the better rot resistant woods but it is still wood. That being said, you will get 5+ years out of them. If you were looking to extend the lifetime, you could always spray with a poly coat to protect them.

A: Yes
by|Apr 30, 2020
A: Theoretically yes, no tools, screens or nails hold it together structurally (you do screw the wood cap on but it's easily removed and not needed). However this is untreated wood left in the elements, theres likely going to be swelling and warping that's going to make it difficult to break down.
by|Apr 30, 2020
A: Most likely not. The dovetail notches would be easy to break. It is light enough to be easily moved with an extra set of hands.
