A:  Hi Mike, thanks for your question. Beachside collection frame is made of galvanized steel, which provides better rust protection than most steel frame furniture in the market. The Beachside collection is also protected with rust-resistant powder-coating finish. As long as the surface finish is not scratched off and raw steel is exposed, it shouldn't rust. In the case that rust does happen due to finish being scratched off or due to heavy moisture at the weld points, you should clean off the rust and spray it with rust protecting spray that you can find in the market right away and then touch up the rust area with touch up paint. We do recommend that customers use an outdoor-rated patio cover to cover furniture when not in use to further protect the furniture from harsh outdoor elements. Otherwise, to completely prevent rust issue, you may need to consider buying aluminum patio furniture. The Beachside collection has a great balance of style/price/quality. Hope this helps.

A:  Hi Julia, thanks for your question. Regarding how hot metal will get under the sun depends on how much direct sunlight the furniture gets. In general, the surface could feel a bit warm to touch, but since the finish color is tan color, it shouldn't absorb too much heat like darker finish one. Most of patio furniture in the market is made of steel or aluminum frame with powder coating finish, and we haven't heard of any issue of finish getting too hot. However, we do recommend that you use an outdoor-rated patio cover to cover furniture when not in use to further protect the furniture from harsh outdoor elements in order to prolong the longevity of the furniture. A:  Yes they do ties on the seats and Velcro on the cushions the Velcro is a little short but easy fix attach another piece. This furniture is very well made easy to put together it’s beautiful!
