Q:How do you remove the current LED light to replace a new one. Everything says to just twist but it appears to be locked into place. Please help.

      Q:We've had this fan for almost two years and started having issues. The light turns on, off, and dims back and forth on its own when the unit is turned on. Replacing the battery didn't fix it. Anyone else had the same issue and how did you fix it?

      A:  Thank you for your question. This can be easily resolved by changing the dip switch settings in the remote and receiver. The dip switches are located in the battery compartment of the remote and on the receiver. The dip switches can be set to any unique setting as long as the settings in the remote and receiver match. Changing the dip switch settings will change the frequency of the remote to avoid the interfering signal. This is shown in detail in the complete installation video located with the alternate images on the product page online (fast forward to the 6:16 mark). If the issue persists, please call Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460 and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

          Q:After installing the fan, remote control/receiver does not work properly. Fan is being controlled by remote control only when remote is operated from particular angle. What could be the problem?

          A:  Thank you for your question. The remote needs to be within 30 feet from the fan. Also only a toggle on/off wall switch can be used. No dimmers.               Q:Hello We installed two of these fans today and they are working fine. However the wall switch (standard on/ off switch) has no effect on the new installation. Previously, we had two others fans installed (without remote) and the wall switch worked fine.

                A:  Thank you for your question. Technically, the fan could be wired to 2 separate switches instead of installing with the remote, but we do not recommend that due to the color temperature changing light kit. The remote is the only way to consistently control the light settings.
