The locking mechanisms should be the same type, so there's a chance they do fit together, but these floors are not intended to be installed with anything other than themselves. A:  I'm sorry, I had originally purchased a similar product, not this one.  I got the engineered product which came in 6 ft lengths and was slightly wider that 5 inches and was fantastic!  I haven't had a problem in 4+ years.  Hard as a rock, so no scratches!!!  I think it was coated 11 times to get the hardness.

A:  Yes, I used underlayment and no problems for two years now. I believe instructions said you can install either way.

A:  Thank you for your question. The Harvest is designed to work as a floating floor. As far as underlayment goes, you will first need a moisture barrier. Use a 6 mil polyethylene film if you have a concrete subfloor, or use asphalt-saturated kraft paper of #15 or #30 felt that meets ASTM Standard D4869 or UU-B-790, Grade D, if your subfloor is wood. You can use additional underlayment for sound control or added cushioning if you want. Make sure that the product you install is being used according to its manufacturer guidelines. In general, less compressive underlayment is preferred.

A:  Thank you for your question. HL271H is the Strand Woven Harvest with a high density fiberboard (HDF) core. It is 4.92 inches wide and 36.02 inches long. The Strand Woven Harvest Take Home Sample is a small cut of the plank (approximate 5 inches by 7 inches) that is intended to give the consumer a chance to inspect and compare the look of the product in person.
