Q:With a 23" wide blind, outside mount, should the two brackets be mounted so that they are positioned to the far left and right ends of the blind, or should they each be positioned further in, 7 to 8 inches from the left and right ends?

    Q:I recently had these installed in 9 windows and 2 of them are very difficult to pull down. I've seen this question asked a few times but I don't see a satisfactory answer. Why are 2 so much harder to pull down? Is there a way to adjust the tension?

    A:  Thank you for your interest in Home Decorators collection window treatments and taking the time to reach out. To lower the blinds you will grab the bottom rail with your hands and pull down. Please note due to the tension inside the headrail they may feel difficult to operate but over time of usage the blinds will become easier to operate.

        Q:Should I round up my exact size for an inside mount? For example, my inside width measures 38.125 from wood edge to wood edge. Should I use 38.25 or 38?

        A:  Hello, thank you for your interest in Home Decorators collection White Cordless Premium Faux Wood blinds and taking the time to reach out. For Outside Mount Installations (Outside the window frame) – Recommended to add 4 inches to the width (2” on both sides) and length for optimal light control and privacy. For inside mount please order 38.25 inch and the actual width size will be 37.5 inches. - ss

          Q:My window has 1-1/4" metal casing. The bracket has 4 holes on top - 2 circular on back and 2 wide in front. Could I use 2 back holes to screw as that would go into stud? not clear in Instruction (Pg 8) the purpose of 4 holes. Need to install 73x84".
