A:  This is a great air cleaner, but I have struggled to find a replacement filter, it takes three. The ones I did find were very expensive. You may have to contact Honeywell.

A:  Oops..smoke contains VOCs of course..so will just dust trigger the air quality indicator? Thanks

A:  Yes it will. Sensor is similar to what you find in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Dust is full of many types of material like skin cells, pieces of hair, mites, cat dander and others. Anything .3 microns or bigger will be caught (see chart).

A:  No. I don't know how much exactly, but after daily use at around 10 hours a day, I experienced no measurable increase in my utilities bill.

A:  I have been using this purifier for several years and haven’t noticed an increase to be concerned about. 

A:  Thank you for your inquiry Annie. While the HEPA filters will remove small particulates from the air, it is the Carbon pre-filter and the Optional Odor and VOC filters that will remove the fumes from the air. While the pre-filter will remove some of the Odors and VOCs from the air, the optional S filters will remove a larger amount of them from the air. We would advise either the Smoke or the Home Renovation S filters.
