Q:Can you use this product on a live wood entry table that seemd to have a finish on it? Looks a little dry.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, Feed-N-Wax can help polish wood finishes to help bring out the natural shine and wood grain. Feed-N-Wax helps introduce conditioning oils that “feed” the wood while providing a protective coating of beeswax and carnauba wax. This unique blend of beeswax, carnauba wax, orange oil, and other beneficial ingredients help preserve and keep the wood from drying out, fading, or even cracking.

Q:Can this be used to seal an MDF workbench top?
by|Jan 7, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: MDF is very porous and will soak up lots of the wax before becoming somewhat durable. A better option may be to seal the MDF with a harder finish. Then allow the finish to fully cure and dry before adding more protection with the Feed-N-Wax.

Q:Used this on very recently stripped, old pine tabletop hoping it would significantly darken the wood - didn't happen, is just deeper orangey color. Will an oil base stain (walnut) penetrate over feed & wax or should I scrub it off first? Thanks much.

1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Feed-N-Wax doesn't have stain so it shouldn't darken the wood that much and basically helps bring out the natural color and depth of the wood. To remove Feed-N-Wax, scrub with mineral spirits to get down to raw wood. Then once the wood is dry, apply a stain. If you have an inconspicuous spot to test the stain, like the underside of the table, do that to make sure you like the color before applying to the entire piece.
