Q:can the basin be cut for 4 inch corrugated pipe?

            Answer This Question

A:  I am sure it could be, but it is not molded with potential outlets as some basins are. My next project will require this feature, but with 6" pipe, and I would prefer to buy a model with the outlets defined that may just be cut open as was the lid on this 18 x 22 model I bought and used.

A:  I wrapped my basin with water permeable fabric (too many to list - ask the hardware store) and put large rock around that to filter any slit so it didn't end up at the bottom of the basin. Good Luck

A:  honestly, you should be fine as long as the sump hole is lined with gravel as it should have been when it was installed. putting fabric in to filter the water that passes through could lead to mold and other rotting related issues over time.
