A: If it's a smooth surface there ok for painting, if the surface is even a little rough they won't hold up for long. I use them for wood finishes on furniture.

A: I don't see why not. I always liked using a Jen Poly foam brush. Just don't use any other brand.

A: These are my choice for varnish or polyurethane as they produce a very smooth finish. It would work for latex but does not put down much paint. Multiple coats may be required. A traditional brush might be a better choice.

A: Yes, I used them lots of times for this application. However, I think you can get better results with a bristle brush.

A: yes. I have on occasion used this JEN polyfoam brush to apply Minwax oils based stain/sealer and also oil based polyurethane top coat with excellent results. This particular brand (JEN) of poly foam brush is superior to all other brands of poly brushes. I have also used them with oil based varnish with great results.

A: Yes, we have used the foam brushes, for staining and varnishing and painting. But remember, any Laquer, type product will destroy the brush. I really like them.

A: Was using brush to dab melted wax on rough oak logs that were inoculated with spawn plugs, had no problems with brush...used only a couple brushes to do about 40 logs. Wax is hard to remove completely from brush for clean up. Had to burn foam off the dowel to remove.
