A:  The water leaks out because the design of the spout clamp is faulty. Purchase a threaded black spout from another manufacturer and install using a pipe nipple.

A:  I have the exact same problem. This is very frustrating. We have the plumber here now we can’t get the faucet installed.

A:  You should try return it anyway and explain the issue to the returns folks. When I had leakage and damage Kohler’s customer support refused to acknowledge there was a problem and just sent me a new spigot which also leaked.
