There is not a difference between toilets that are purchased at Home Depot versus a showroom other than the seat that may be packaged with a Complete Solution toilet. A:  The 3 bolts are simply the way the tank attaches to the bowl.

K-3816 is a three bolt installation meaning there are three bolts used when connecting the tank to the bowl. Please reference step 5 in the installation guide: https://bit.ly/35b4tXZ. A:  The tank connects to the bowl with 3 bolts.  Better stability. 

A:  I believe you are referring to the method by wich the tank attaches to the toilet bowl base. There is a unitary black rubber flange gasket, with three blot holes in it, and it sits between the tank and base. The special bolts go through this gasket from the tank side, and then through the bowl, where a nut is tightened from the underside of the bowl. This forms a water tight seal wen properly torqued. This is also how you level the tank in relation to the base.

A:  You will need a seat, wax ring, etc. My seat from my regular height Memoirs Classic fits well. So I kept it.
