A: My understanding is 4 bags. Each bag weighs 16lbs. I ordered it today, so I will find out for sure in a few days. :)

We recommend the "burn down" method for your smoker where you'd fill the charcoal bed with unlit coals, and add only a few lit coals to the very top.
