Q:What?s up with the bottom portion of door that doesn?t stain like the rest of door? Same thing on interior side of door. I?ve put 3 additional coats of stain on those sections and will not take stain like the rest of door. Any help or suggestions?

A:  Hi Matt, before staining we will always recommend doing a light sanding over the whole door. It could just be that part of the door is more dense than the rest, giving it the slight variance.

      A:  You do not have to remove it but it might be easier to provide a complete seal with stain and clear coat.
