    Answer This Question

A:  I am not sure what you mean by inlet connection. Please look under the header "info and guides" on the Home Depot product listing page for this product. There you will find a PDF of the instructions. On page three is a list of the replacement parts that are available. Could you please identify the part number for the part you are looking for. Q:How heavy is the pump and can it be used on an above ground pool cover? Does it have to be removed from cover if temperature goes below freezing?

      Answer This Question

A:  This pump is less than 10 pounds and is easily removed during freezing temps. It can be used for any pool cover. We only put ours out when water collects..if it freezes, it will crack and no longer operate.

A:  Product Weight is 4.67lb. As to your second question. When water freezes it exerts roughly 100,000 PSI. So essentially there are no products that contain water that will not be destroyed if the water inside them freezes.

A:  Approximately 5lbs. I used it on an above ground pool cover. It worked very well through especially through the winter. I didn't remove pump when it got below freezing.Just keep an eye on it when temps go below freezing.

A:  It weighs 10 pounds. I use it for a loop-lock in-ground pool cover so I don't know how it would function above ground.

Q:My pump quit pumping. Any quick fix I can try before replacing the pump?

                      Answer This Question

A:  If the motor has stopped working I would say no. However if you are saying that the impeller is turning yet its not moving water, than you may be air bound. Meaning there is an air bubble inside the pump. Pumps will move water but not air. The air bubble will just compress and not allow flow. In that case I would shut the pump off. Remove the pump from the water and reintroduce it.

A:  Check to see if float is stuck. When plugged in does motor hum?
