A:  no clock. setup is strange, and I am returning the unit.

A:  It does not have a clock and the heater counts down to the next happening. This means that if you want night to start at 10.30 PM, then you will have to activate it first time at 10.30 PM. Then it will automatically lower your temperature at this specific time every night going forward. Please note the night function is active all 7 days of the week, while the day function is active on all weekdays (5 days) and you will tell the heater what day it is when you program it (so that it will be active Monday-Friday).

Q:Is it possible to keep this heater set so that it only goes on at 40 degrees or below?

                    Answer This Question

A:  I think so. It can be set so that it only goes on above a certain temperature, but I can't recall what the lowest temperature is (I gave it to my daughter, so cannot check that myself). But it is a digital setting, and you just set it to the temperature you want by rotating the dial left or right until it reads what you want.

A:  Yes, however, I would first set the heater at a higher temperature to get the oil warmed up and then turn it to 40. By the way, there is no odor when you heat this heater up, which surprised us.

A:  You can set the thermostat as low as 41 degrees which may be close enough for you. This heater also has 3 heat output levels and day settings and night settings which gives you additional options for how to heat your space.
