A:  We ordered the faucet online and it was delivered in a couple days. I had a plumber remove our old faucet and install the new Moen faucet and valve.

A:  Normally you would connect a braded stainless supply line made for faucets. The supply line needed is 3/8" C X 1/2" FIP, this will connect to a 1/2 compression fitting.

A:  Yes you need to buy separately. Kit does not come with supply lines. I used braided flexible faucet supply lines which makes for an easy installation. They come in different lengths (like 12", 16", 20"). You need to measure the distance from your supplies to the faucet valve inlet and pick the next longest size (i.e. if you measure 13 " use a 16 "). I used 16 inch Brasscraft 1/2" 3/8" compression model B1-16A F for my installation. If you do a search on Home Depot site for this model number it will come up. They also have vinyl lines you can use or you can hard line it with copper connection pipe made for faucets cut and formed to fit.

If you currently have a Moen widespread installed after 2001 it is likely an M-Pact valve and will compatible with new trim. A:  I replaced a Glacier Bay faucet and I needed the valve set; I’m not a plumber, but if you’re replacing something other than a Moen, you most likely will need the valve, too. You may also need it even if you’re replacing a Moen, but, again, I’m not a plumber.

A:  Yes. The handles are independent from the faucet, and there is plenty of slack in the feed lines.

A:  That should not be a problem hoses are very long

A:  The sink I installed my faucet in has the valve handles spaced at 8 inches. Ignoring any other issues, I would think the valve to spout hoses could easily extend the extra 1 inch on each side.

A:  Very common problem! If your faucet handle is hard to turn it could be caused by hard water build-up or rust. Remove the trim kit and check the valves. If you see build-up or corrosion, you can try cleaning it but it is usually best and longest lasting if you replace the valves. If only one is bad, it’s also suggested to go ahead and replace both to keep them on the same maintenance schedule. Good Luck! Let me know if you have any additional questions.

A:  Our faucets are metal. We have found Moen to be a very good product, of good quality! They are heavy.

A:  We purchased and installed the Brushed Nickel version. Everything that is brushed nickel finish and visible is metal.

A:  All pieces 9f this faucet are brushed metal finish. These are made of metal. Very sturdy. No parts are plastic. I've used these for three years now and they've held up nicely. Easy to clean.

A:  Solid chrome plated brass the piece between the stem and the handle is plastic very well built is also a high volume faucet fills the tub much faster than a normal tub filler thanks Jim

A:  The height of the spout is approximately 5.5 inches as mounted on the sink.

A:  Handle height is 3.25 inches and the height of the faucet at the top of the arch is 5 inches.

A:  Interesting question. So, I installed mine on an antique wall-hung hand basin with its own backsplash. The height of the faucet handles above the mounting surface of the sink is appx. 3.5 inches. But wait! There's more: The height of the pop-up drain handle when it's down (stopper UP) is 4 inches. The height of the spout (further away from the wall) is 5 inches, and the height of the pop-up handle when pulled up (closest to the wall - stopper is down/closed) is 6.25 inches. I did not consider clearance of the medicine cabinet above. There was plenty of room.

A:  Universally the left handle is for hot and the right for cold water. Usually on top of the handle there will be an insert which will ID the left as H for hot and the right with a C for cold. I would say if it is a different color it is a defect. Call MOEN and they will replace it at no charge. I had a MOEN faucet which did not have the threads in the base part and they replaced it with no issue. Usually a picture is worth a 1000 words.
