A:  All disposals can be used on septic.... but do you want to? If installed, you'll use it to grind food, which will then be sent into your septic system. It won't clog but your septic system will struggle to break it down and ultimately need to be pumped out at substantial expense. While I recommend this disposal, I don't think it's wise to install any garbage disposal on a septic.

A:  We have a septic tank and use this garbage disposal. We just try not to put a ton of food down it since it’s bad for septic tanks..

A:  I honestly don’t know I would think you would want to check with your septic tank company first.  But in regarding to the disposal it does a great job

A:  It's because of the way HD groups ratings and questions together for a product that has multiple options. You bought the 3/4 HP model but the LED's are only on the 1HP model. The questions that you see don't get filtered based on the 3/4 HP option you selected at the top of the page. If you look closely and follow the link to the actual question about the LED's, you'll see it takes you to the 1HP model. You have to be really careful when you're buying 3000sqft of flooring and make sure your not basing your decision off a customer's review with photos that is for a different color option than you have selected!
