          A:  The gravity feed will work. but you would have no temp control.  So work, yes.  Efficiency and heat control would be extremely limited.

                A:  Mine worked perfectly.. Did you contact to normal 120 volt outlet or a battery source.? Plug in and the panel should light up. Try closing all doors first.
