Q:Is the door notched on the side so it can be opened if you leave the handle off entirely? I don't mid the ugly screws showing - I think.

A: It has a pull out wire basket on the bottom. Even with the ice maker that is installed, it is a nice size freezer. I was surprised with no pic also however I was pleased with the inside. The bonus is the nice bright light, Really nice and bright, Makes it easy to see what is in there,

A: I just dealt with this on mine, there is a drain for the evaporator that becomes plugged with ice and when the system defrosts the water runs onto the floor. You have to take the inside of the freezer apart to fix it.

A: The sides are magnetic. The doors are the only stainless steel part of the fridge: the sides are a flat gray color. Blends well, iMO.
