                Answer This Question

A:  The 6.0 High Output batteries use 21700 cells (versus 18650 cells for the 9.0 High Demand) so it produces a higher peak power output when the tool demands it, but it still has a shorter runtime than the 9.0.

                by|Apr 12, 2024

A:  6.0 h.o. Has the upgraded cells, more power than the 9.0, but the 9.0 still has more watt hours= more runtime.

A:  Larger cells used mean higher drain and will run cooler under load. I have noticed my hole hawg will heat up my older 6.0 and will drain the pack quick....well according to the battery bar meter. I then let it cool off for a bit and check the battery meter and i will have 2 bars again. this new pack should fix that problem.

A:  Actually I might be wrong. It appears the 6.0Ah HO XC is wider than the 6.0Ah non-HO XC. So, @Milwaukee: Does the 6.0Ah HO use 21700 cells?

                        by|May 6, 2023

A:  @Bleedred: It uses the same 18620 cells, not 21700 like the 12.0Ah HO. @MilwaukeeElectric: And this is compared to what, a 6.0Ah XC model? Is the size the same as the XC?

A:  I have never heard of a 18620 battery. I have heard of 18650s tho. My home solar set up uses over 1000 of them. It has reduced the bill from $400 to $90 a month. Also 26650 and 32650s as well as 17650s which can take the place of 2 cr123s.
