A: Quartz countertops do not need sealing as they are non-porous. We have had quartz for four years. Never sealed. Not a single stain.

A: Both products contain a silicone polymer for water resistance. Porous Plus also has a second polymer to reduce penetration of the material into porous substrates like sandstone, This keeps the silicone near (but not all on) the surface, where it can provide protection.

A: According to the description for the 511 Impregnator Penetrating Sealer, it is more cost effective than the 511 Porous Plus Sealer. Much less expensive, but also less effective overall, based on its reviews.
