A:  Thanks for your question, Bill. The staircase is designed with a reversible rotation which allows you to decide whether the staircase will spiral up to the right or left. We use the handrail placement to determine whether its right hand up or left hand up (which hand you place on the handrail as you ascend the staircase). These kits allow you to place the handrail on either side to suit your specific application.
