A:  You can do it as long as the floor is level. I did my Laminate over my old wooden floor and tile without additional underlay. 

A:  Hello! This can be installed over 1 layer of tile. The tile must be fully adhered with no imperfections. The tile must also have no cushion. The Pergo Defense plus does have an attached pad. A:  Hello! Laminate flooring is installed as a floating floor and requires the use of T-moldings in doorways 4 ft (1.22m) or less and in rooms 40 feet (12.2 m) or larger in length or width. A:  Yes, the floor planks have underlayment attached on the bottom. However, I chose to get additional 3mm underlayment design specifically for Pergo flooring. It was a breeze to install and helpful when installing flooring as the underlayment has 1/4" gridlines.
