Q:How much weight does the towel ring hold?

Answer This Question
A: Pfister model # BRB-VN0K may hold up to 5 lbs.
by|Dec 11, 2019
A: I guess it depends on the sheet rock anchors you use to mount it to the wall. Also, the little set-screw that attaches the holder to the wall mount has a better chance to loosen from excess weight than the wall mount. However, we haven't had any issues since mounting our holder three years ago. It's held up under vanity size towels with no difficulty.

A: The install went very well! Took less than 20 min with gathering supplies! I liked how it snapped in vs. Allen wrench, type fastening, I used molly's that hold 65lbs I'm sure this not going anywhere!

A: Would depend on the screws, but it holds a hand towel without any difficulty

A: Yes, this can be used as a toilet paper roll holder. We purchased this just for that purpose and it it working great and looks nice as well. Giant rolls of toilet paper fit snugly but standard to large fir perfectly.

A: The width is 6 13/32”. The correct Pfister part number is Model #: BRB-VN0C and has been posted for correction. The model was designed as a towel holder rather than a toilet paper holder. The unit does not pivot away from the wall allowing room to mount a tissue roll.
Below is a link to this specifications for this model for further details.

A: Yes it can. The width of the "arm" is approximately 4-3/4 inches, plenty wide for a roll of TP.

A: Forget it. The Quick Clip is an awful engineering design. If you manage to get the Quick Clip to engage property, there is absolutely no way to remove the mounting base of the towel ring from the Quick Clip without destroying the clip itself. Bad engineering design.

A: There is no trick... return it.
by|May 4, 2023
A: Do you have the pressed metal spring or do you have the cast metal piece with the ball at the bottom? If you have the cast metal spring as your attachment point, you should consider returning it as the design of that will NEVER allow you to appropriately tighten it. It is literally attached to a spring and will always have give. There is a Moen design that is extremely similar that you might consider as well. In short, you have to find something that is a solid attachment point and not the spring.
Another consideration would be to try to replace whatever attachment you're using with 1/8" toggle bolts. You can tighten those down, but if you have the spingy attachment, even that won't help.
