          A:  I just measured this screen that I purchased some time ago for our fireplace. This screen is too small for your fireplace opening. The screen measures 38" wide and 30" tall.

            Q:My fireplace opening is 40" wide by 30" tall. Seeing that this panel is 41" wide, will this panel fit into my opening? Will it give a little?

            A:  The screen will be a half inch over on each side of the fireplace, which is perfectly fine.

              A:  I love this fireplace screen, but I do not believe it will serve you adequately. Our fireplace opening is 35” and it provides just enough overlap to serve its purpose. It is not designed to fit flush against the opening.
