A:  No, it is always connected to a faucet in front of my house

by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes. Avoid this product. It will sping a leak and be useless.

    by|May 4, 2023

      A:  most stores do

      by|May 4, 2023

A:  Leave coiled on the ground until ready to use. As you turn the water on it will expand and you carry the hose to your garden, car, etc. it is very light and easy to handle.

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it has a threaded end where you can attach another hose.

        by|May 4, 2023

        A:  yes

        by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes I do think so. The newer better made ones are strong and I can see no reason why two attached together would not work. We have on attached to an old style hose and it works fine.

        by|May 4, 2023

        A:  Absolutely

        by|Jun 27, 2017

A:  Sure, they can be linked up. They are sold in 25' sections anyway. So the 50 footer is 2 hoses linked up

Q:Is there a trick to getting water to flow thru your hose ? What am I doing wrong ?

          Answer This Question

A:  Not sure what version of this hose you have. Some have a ball valve with a small lever that must be set along the line of the hose (not across it) to let the water comes out. Does your hose expand in length when you turn the water on at the tap? If it does, then I would suspect that valve. If the hose does not expand, I would suspect either the water supply (the tap) is not functioning, or the hose is blocked. Sorry I can't be more help, but it is hard to determine the correct answer with the information you provided

          by|May 4, 2023

A:  Try Turning on the water supply, then it works great.

          by|Jun 27, 2017

A:  No. Be sure the faucet you've got it attached to is working and on. I always have a nozzle on the other end to spray my flowers but that's it. Is your water pressure good? You should be able to see it move through and fill up your hose. It uncoils as it does this.

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  Are you getting no water flow at all? Are you sure the faucet is on? Try removing the freebie water nozzle which comes attached to the hose, or twisting it to a different position.

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  no trick, just turn the faucet on. When you shut off the faucet, run the water from the hose so that the hose curls up.

            A:  About 1 hour.

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  Mine only lasted a year, then the plastic ends cracked.

              by|May 4, 2023

A:  That depends on how you take care of it. My first one, I left outside in the sun and by the end of summer, it had a hole in it. (TX summer sun is HOT.) The one I had in NY lasted for 5 years and was still going strong, but I drained it completely at the end of the season & stored it in the garage. Now, I've had my current one 2 1/2 yrs and it's going strong, but I keep it out of the sun except when I'm using it.

A:  Not long if you drag it across anything rough. It tore in just a few weeks.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  In my experience, NOT VERY LONG

Q:Can I connect it to the kitchen sink

                Answer This Question

A:  That would depend on the type of connection you have at your kitchen faucet. You would need a threaded connection of the same diameter. I think you could find the parts to do that.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  If you have an adapter I'm sure you can. it's set up for attaching to a faucet.... if you take the end of your sink faucet off it might work but I'd use a washer or two

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  NOT if you have a regular spigot. You need a garden hose male connector to connect the hose to the water source.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  No; that is, not directly. Garden hose threads are different from faucet threads. Carefully place a wrench on your faucet aerator and unscrew it. Take it to Home Depot or a hardware store and ask for a garden hose to faucet adapter. it screws in where you took out the aerator, and has threads for your garden hose. When done, unscrew the adapter and put your aerator back in until next time. A good hand tighten should be sufficient in all cases of threading and un-threading. People use these to hook up a portable dishwasher to their sink, so that may be where the store keeps them - washing machine hoses. The reason to take it to the store is to make sure what you buy has the same threads - exactly - as your aerator.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  This hose had connections on both ends just like any other garden hose. To attach to a sink you will need an adaptor that will fit the female end of the hose and will match the threads on the sinks out flow point. I am fairly certain that you can get one of these adaptors at Home Depot.

                Answer This Question

A:  The end of mine blew out from the regular pressure at my spigot so I doubt it.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  Tried it and no it won't work. Lasted less than a minute.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  If you are asking if it can be used between the tap (hose bib) and your pressure washer inlet port, the answer is yes. this side of the system uses only house water pressure. If you are asking if you can put it on the output side of the pump (the side that discharges the high pressure water to the wand. the answer is and emphatic NO. If you use it on the input side of the machine, be very careful to not allow the line to rub against anything, or placed anywhere that it can be punctured (Thorns/nails/etc) This product is very sensitive to abrasion and will fail quickly, when damaged. Since it is fundamentally non-repairable, it then becomes an expensive item in your trash.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes - we have used them with pressure washers to clean our deck and patio furniture.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes it can be used with a pressure washer as the "inlet" hose. That means from your homes water source valve to the pressure washer inlet valve. Obviously, this hose can't be used on the outlet side as you need the high pressure hose with wand. I had one of these hoses a few years ago and it failed on me within a week by bursting and rendered itself useless. I don't know if they improved the quality on these though.

A:  This is my second one ... the first one I left connected to the spigot during the Winter months and the unit burst. I would NOT recommend leaving it connected during the Winter.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes, if you are in an area that does not freeze.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  The directions do not recommend keeping the pocket hose connected to the spigot the winter time. The winter elements can damage the hose.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  You do not want to leave the hose out in freezing weather. Any water left in it can expand and crack the hose.

                  by|May 4, 2023

A:  I would not. Even though it can expand the expansion web can become brittle in freezing weather an cause a bubble and burst. We always drain the water from the hose and store the hose after every use, even in the summer. It keeps it elasticity better when it is dry and coiled loosely.

                    Q:Why no warranty?

                    Answer This Question

A:  Probably because it will get damaged if you don't pamper it. It works great and is very convenient, but just pulling it over concrete can abrade the mesh on the outer skin. Once that outer skin has been compromised, the inner membrane can breach it and rupture.

                    by|May 4, 2023

A:  Probably because it ruptures in under a year

                    by|May 4, 2023

A:  Not sure, but my guess would be that the manufacturer would be bankrupt by now. I have owned 3 of these and finally convinced my wife (who is the user) that they are not worth owning. The "NEW AND IMPROVED" is no better. The problem is that the outer woven sheath fails and the expanding liner inside balloons out and then ruptures leaving you with a non-repairable piece of junk.

A:  Mine sprung a leak just below the nozzle within the first week. That's most likely the reason. The company must know this hose is garbage. I'm returning mine to Home Depot tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll have better luck getting their money back after refunding my purchase price ;)

A:  I would say "no" because that's not listed in the description. All hoses that I've seen that are OK to use for drinking water clearly state that near the top of the info. This hose is described as a garden hose, so that tells me not for potable water use.
