A:  Yes, thick cardboard, I’m using this storage every day for over 3 years and like it a lot

A:  No, it's thicker than cardboard.

A:  I wouldn’t call it cardboard, however, it’s definitely thinner & cheaper material than the rest of the cabinet. It doesn’t affect the use of the shelves & is the same color as the cabinet so it blends in. 

A:  It is possible but you would have to purchase any locking hardware and install it yourself. Modifictions will void factory warranty.

A:  Not unless you put a chain through the handles with a padlock.

A:  Fixed middle shelf and 2 adjustable shelves top and bottom.

A:  There are 3 shelves.

A:  Because the unit is freestanding you can place it anywhere in the home including a closed garage.

A:  The very top panel, the center shelf and the base panel are fixed, both shelves above and below the center shelf are adjustable.

A:  Yes the doors will be able to open without binding up against the adjacent cabinet.

A:  They will open and close without binding. They open and move in.

A:  The cabinet sides are white.
