A:  I know Walmart has them, but Home Depot also may carry them. If you cannot find them there, try getting them online from Presto.

A:  Sealing rings are available locally at Ace, True Value or Do It Best hardware stores. Any small hardware store may stock them, but those three chains either have them in their store or can get them from their warehouse. There are a few rings that only fit one model cooker and the hardware stores don't stock those rings. Rings can also be ordered directly from National Presto Industries by calling 1-800-877-0441.

A:  There was a time when canning using pressure cookers was deemed a safe method of preserving. However, since 2006 Presto has not provided information for canning in pressure cookers. The information used to support canning in pressure cookers was based on research done in the late 1970's. The current recommendation from the United States Department of Agriculture indicates that to pressure can you will need to use a vessel that is specially a pressure canner, which holds at minimum four quart-size jars. Note that pressure canners are generally 12-quart size or larger. Presto currently has 16 and 23 quart canners. If you have further questions please call Presto Customer Service, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Central Time.

A:  In my opinion this isn't large enough for that. There is a big difference between pressure canners and pressure cookers. You may need to get one of those that is like 16 to 20 quarts.
