Q:I cut the mat to fit my space and followed the instructions in doing so. However, the resistance has now changed, understandably. My question is can I fire up the system to test prior to laying tile to make sure it heats up?
by|Jul 26, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: You can power the system on to test. You will need to put some flooring tiles on top of the mat. The mat itself does not get very warm. It radiates and heats the objects above it.

Answer This Question
A: It isn’t recommended to place any fixed furniture on top and f the heat section. It could heat up the cabinet and make the plumbing sweat.
by|Jul 13, 2023
A: Thank you for reaching out. QuietWarmth is not to be installed under any fixtures that are floor hugging. If the vanity is raised off the floor and provides an air gap, that would be an acceptable application.

Q:Can this be used under LVT/LVP flooring systems? If so does this apply under UDL or on top?
by|Apr 8, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out. Depending on how you plan to install the LVT/LVP, you may want to consider our heating system for floating floors. As long as the floor covering is greater than 4mm in thickness and is a floating floor, that is the system to use. Whether you use the float system or our peel and stick system, we want the QuietWarmth to be the last layer to go down prior to the floor covering. If using the peel and stick, the mat will not stick to roll good underlayment, it needs to stick to the actual subfloor.
