A: Inside corners are rounded. But not too much, as to make a circle, though.

Q:Is this the same piece that works for the post the joins the soffit, lets say for under a covered porch? (where the soffit meets the posts)

A: I do see reason why it should not work. It's just trim

A: You will have to glue it some way. I used this for that exact purpose and I just used white exterior silicone. Remember, it's just decoration, not a structural piece.

Q:How much will this this extend beyond the post? How much deck room do I need to install this?

A: This is adjustable. So if you use it around a 6x6 post, it will be obviously bigger in dimensions than a 4x4 post. But one side sticks 1 and 3/16" away from the face of the post.

A: It is adjustable to fit a range of sizes from 3.5 in. to 6.5 in. so it should fit a 6x6 post.

A: Yes it can fit a 6x6. I am using it with the 6x6 RDI post covers. To fit you cut off the ends of the 4 pieces and they all interlock together. They are easy to cut. I used an isolating saw and a steady hand.
