A:  Because they are the same tool except one has a 3/8 inch anvil and the other has a 1/2 inch anvil so same motor turns same RPM's and same torque. Just different anvil size fits different size impact sockets.

A:  This impact is more durable than the bigger model..I recommend to keep it on mode 3. Setting ..not automatic

A:  Yes it does, a 4.0 battery will be required. Keep in mind that this will be towards the limit of the design capacity. The tool is not specifically designed for this purpose, it will work. Max torque is 250 ft pounds, very impressive! A pro mechanic would choose a different model for multiple use repairs.

A:  I'm guessing you ordered online, and perhaps want to register for the lifetime service agreement. I'd also run into this. I was able to go to customer service in-store and get them to print me one for that. I'm going that Home Depot/Ridgid would set things up so you'd have the info necessary for LSA registration without doing that is you order online. I haven't bought any tools recently since I already have a lot of them, so maybe they have.

A:  If you bought it online, the online recipt was enough for me.

A:  When I bought mine, it did not come with one. However it’s sturdy enough without it.

A:  I’m not sure if Ridgid offer’s a protective boot. But I’m a retired mechanic of 44 years and I’m sure if you contact the major to supply companies eg. (snap-on, Mac tool, matco) just to name a few, you’ll be able to find a boot to fit this impact. Hope this helps. Vince.

A:  Any impact sockets should be fine, but make sure they are intended for impact use. They are usually black and much heavier than the ones in the socket sets. They are frequently deeper than standard sockets.

A:  Yes will easily remove lug nuts torqued to 140 ft-lbs.

A:  Yes it will, not sire what the first comment or the no comment is smoking but yes this will remove lug nuts and other sockets on a car! Thats exactly what im buying it for and i have seen it done very easily, unless it is for some reason over torqued!
