A: Hi Dolfnjon, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. To answer your question, the vacuum is designed to facilitate the removal of water and debris, even when it’s filled to around 6 gallons. However, for safety reasons, it’s important to avoid lifting a vacuum that is heavy with liquid or debris. Instead, you should partially empty by scooping debris or draining liquid from the vacuum before lifting to reduce the risk of back injury or falls. Please follow the "Important safety instructions" in the owner's manual for safely emptying and handling the vacuum If you have questions or concerns, you may call us at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, RIDGID
A: Hello Sandra, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding our product. You can easily download the PDF copy of the manual at this link under Support Documents: https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/6-gallon-nxt-wet-dry-vac#support When it comes to handling small amounts of liquid, our original pleated paper filter is a suitable choice. It effectively captures liquid without compromising the performance of your vacuum. However, for larger liquid volumes, we recommend removing the filter to prevent water misting and ensure optimal functionality. If you frequently encounter dirty water or regularly use your vacuum for wet pickups, we have just the solution for you! Our wet foam filter VF7000, available at Home Depot stores, is specifically designed to handle these situations with ease. This high-quality filter will provide exceptional performance and peace of mind during your cleaning sessions. Should you have any further questions or concerns, our dedicated Customer Service team is here to assist you. Feel free to reach out at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time. We appreciate your interest in our product and look forward to helping you enhance your vacuuming experience! Thanks, RIDGID
A: Hello Joseph, Thanks for your inquiry about our product. If you're referring to the RIDGID VT2534 Auto Detailing Kit that includes a 1-1/4" premium hose and accessories, yes, they will work with HD06001. The hose can be attached directly to the vacuum's suction port. Please note that the accessories in the kit are designed to work specifically with the orange hose included in the VT2534 kit. If you wish to use these accessories with the original hose of your HD06001 vacuum, you'll need to purchase a separate adapter. If you have questions or concerns, you may call our Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, RIDGID
A: Hello Kevin, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can use a 2-1/2" hose with your HD06001 vacuum. The end of our standard black hose is designed to fit most of our vacuums, including yours. However, if you choose to use a 2-1/2" hose, you won't be able to use the original 1-7/8" hose that came with your vacuum without an adapter. If you wish to connect the 2-1/2" hose to your 1-7/8" accessories, you will need an adapter, specifically the VT1755, which includes the necessary fittings. If you have other questions, you may call our Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, RIDGID
A: Hello Qudus, Thank you for your inquiry about our product. We do not have a WD08700 model in our product line. However, if your vacuum is the WD06700 model, we can provide you with instructions on how to change the filter. To access the filter, start by removing the lid from the drum and turning it upside down. Locate the rubber tabs on top of the filter and hold them with both hands. Place your thumb on the ball stud in the center. While lifting up on the rubber tabs, push down on the stud, and the filter will snap out. You can then slide the filter off the cage. To install the new filter, carefully slide it over the cage and press down on the outside edge until the rubber gasket on the bottom of the filter securely seats around the base of the filter cage and against the power head assembly. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Alternatively, you can send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com, and we'll be glad to assist you. Thank you for your interest in our products. Best regards, RIDGID
