A:  Hello Kevin, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can use a 2-1/2" hose with your HD06001 vacuum. The end of our standard black hose is designed to fit most of our vacuums, including yours. However, if you choose to use a 2-1/2" hose, you won't be able to use the original 1-7/8" hose that came with your vacuum without an adapter. If you wish to connect the 2-1/2" hose to your 1-7/8" accessories, you will need an adapter, specifically the VT1755, which includes the necessary fittings. A:  Hello Qudus, Thank you for your inquiry about our product. We do not have a WD08700 model in our product line. However, if your vacuum is the WD06700 model, we can provide you with instructions on how to change the filter. To access the filter, start by removing the lid from the drum and turning it upside down. Locate the rubber tabs on top of the filter and hold them with both hands. Place your thumb on the ball stud in the center. While lifting up on the rubber tabs, push down on the stud, and the filter will snap out. You can then slide the filter off the cage. To install the new filter, carefully slide it over the cage and press down on the outside edge until the rubber gasket on the bottom of the filter securely seats around the base of the filter cage and against the power head assembly.
