A:  The shade I bought is a temporary shade that you can trim to customize the width or length. It is classified as temporary but has been over my bedroom window for a year with no problem. Simply cut the shade to fit and stick it up with a tape strip attached to the shade at the top. Use included clips to adjust the length.

A:  Hi Meg, Great question! Our Original Paper shades do not need any tools or hardware as they are installed using the adhesive tape built into the shade. To install the shades as an outside outside mount, first peel the adhesive liner from the top of the shade. Then, adhere the shade above the window casing with the top pleat or headrail perpendicular to the top edge of the casing. Press firmly with both hands to ensure the shade is securely adhered. The shade should cascade down very nicely! RS Customer Support

A:  Hello BM, thank you for the great question. If you have access to a hair dryer, place it on the lowest setting and point it where the adhesive meets the surface. This will help loosen the shade, to where you can start at one corner and work your way down. Here is a helpful video on the process, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChOhiES7S7c. If leftover residue occurs, try rolling off the residue using your fingers. If the first technique does not work, apply rubbing alcohol/hydrogen peroxide to residue and let sit for 10 minutes. Next, with a putty knife or spatula, remove residue gently to avoid damage to your window or frame. If the first two suggestions do not work, use Goo Gone (found in many hardware stores). Apply Goo Gone directly to residue with soft pad (folded cloth or paper towel). Let soak for 10 minutes. Then, with a putty knife or spatula remove residue. Use a gentle touch to avoid damage to window or frame. Note: Plain white paper towels are recommended, due to the transferring of ink that may occur from using printed towels. Please reach out with any other questions and we would be more than happy to help. Redi Shade Customer Care

A:  I haven’t had that problem but I help hold the shades in place with Thumb Tacks as I raise and lower them throughout the day depending on where the sun is.

A:  Hello Espantarea, Thank you for your question. Redi Shade Pleated Window shades are easy to install and easy to remove. We understand sometimes adhesive is not an option for installation on certain surfaces, such as varnish or lacquer. Redi Shade clips are designed to hold the pleats of the window shades. It is not certain how they would perform when used to attached a window covering, such as a Redi Shade, to a curtain rod. Should you decide to try them please come back and let us know how your idea worked! Thank you for your interest in this product.

A:  Not that I am aware of. You could try attaching them to the curtain rods since they have the adhesive back, but not really sure would hold up well. Don't think the clips are mean't to use on rod but to keep shades down and level.
