Q:Would these be good for a snake plant indoor? I know they are porous and require a decorative pot if used but would the rhizomes grow into the bag as mentioned with the acacia tree?

Q:Can I use this to replant a very large areca palm? I want to bring the plant inside (I've grown it in an outdoor covered patio) and place it in a large decorative planter.

A: I don't think you will like the finished look. The bags have handles which will show above the pot and this fiber is flexible and will not seat snuggly for a polished finished look in the decorative pot. I use my bags for growing food crops and the handles help if you have to move them for an unexpected frost or for more or less sun.

A: I don't know if i would do that. Since the pouch is breathable the roots will grow through the pouch. I have heard when you try to repot it, it is difficult and causes a lot of root damage when you have to rip the roots from the fabric. I use it for seasonal vegetables and many times I have to really pull or turn the pouch inside out to pull the roots from the fabric. I still love them for my seasonal fruits and vegetables!

Q:Are these good for growing asparagus? What size (or depth) is needed?

A: HH
research recommends:
Choose a large container, approximately 7 to 8 inches deep and at least 3 to 6 feet wide to accommodate the size of the plant at maturity. So that being said our #65 to our #100 gallon would work for you.

Q:Hello,
I would like to know what is the difference between the black and brown containers in the links below. There has to be some difference other than the color as the prices are different.
Thanks

A: Thank you for your interest in Root Pouch products.
Our Boxer Brown line of products is 100% recycled water bottles. Our Black line of pots is a mixture of recycled water bottles and natural fibers such as cotton and jute.
The natural fibers give the pots a bit more breathability and can also be used in ground and in pot in pot applications.
They are both excellent pot for the home grower

A: I think they might work very well for that if you put a bowl under the bag to sit in water. I do that with plants that require staying moist. Otherwise they seem to dry out pretty fast.
