Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Susan! Each quart of Rust-Oleum Chalked Ultra Matte Paint has a recommended coverage of 110-150 square feet with a single coat. The number of cans needed will be dependent on the size of each piece and how many coats you apply. To help with coverage and to prevent the stain from bleeding through if there is not a finish coat on it, we recommend priming with Rust-Oleum Zinsser Cover Stain Oil-Based Primer. This primer can be topcoated with this paint after one hour.

Answer This Question
A: We're happy to clear things up. While Rust-Oleum Chalked Paint creates a chalked ultra matte finish it will not give the same effect of a chalkboard. Instead, we recommend Rust-Oleum Specialty Chalkboard Paint.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out, Mark. While Rust-Oleum Chalked Paint can help create a custom antique finish to wooden surfaces it is for interior surfaces only. The exposure to UV will cause the finish to fade and peel. Instead, we would recommend Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Door & Trim Paint.

A: Thank you for reaching out, Pamela. Rust-Oleum Calked Ultra Matte Brush Paint should be applied using a high quality synthetic brush, it cannot be used in a spray gun. For spray application, we recommend using Rust-Oleum Chalked Ultra Matte Spray Paint.

Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Alberto! Rust-Oleum Chalked Ultra Matte Paint can be applied to children's furniture. Our recommendation is to leave items in a well ventilated area for one week after painting. This allows for the most complete curing as well as maximum coating hardness. As with any coating product, care should be taken to ensure that accidental ingestion does not occur.

Answer This Question
A: We're happy to help, Carlos. While Rust-Oleum Chalked Paint can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces we do not recommend applying to plastic as it will not fully adhere to the surface.
