Answer This Question
A: Thanks for reaching out. Rust-Oleum Home Floor Coating can be applied to a variety of surfaces, including ceramic tile, porcelain tile, concrete, hard wood, laminate, vinyl, and linoleum. Because Osmo Polyx-Oil is derived from natural oils and wax, it would need to be removed before Rust-Oleum Home can be applied.

Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Norma! Since the Rust-Oleum Home Floor Topcoat is not fully dry, sanding is not recommended for removal. The coating can be scraped or a stripper suitable for water-based coatings can be used to help with removal. With any method, a test application is recommended to ensure favorable results.

A: We're happy to help, Mary. Yes, Rust-Oleum HOME Floor Coating Kit can be applied over a previously coated floor. If the previous coating has fully cured we recommend scuff sanding the surface to help build a surface profile. These kits can also be custom tinted to the color of your desire, for questions about tinting we ask you contact the paint counter of your local Home Depot.

Answer This Question
A: We appreciate your interest, Anthony! While the Rust-Oleum Home Floor Coating System can be applied to plywood surfaces, we do not recommend it for use on surfaces that will receive any sort of vehicle traffic, including motorcycles. The weight of these objects can cause the coating to crack and peel.
