A:  Yes I would think so. You may need some fiber mesh tape like for sheet rock joints.

A:  I think a better choice would be a vinyl repair kit.

            by|May 17, 2020

A:  yes, but use painter's tape on both sided if the crack to help with even application. It may take several coats.

A:  Yes, but keep in mind that this product is a sealant, not an adhesive.

A:  We appreciate your interest! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust LeakSeal Brush is intended for use on harder surfaces such as metal, aluminum, galvanized metal, PVC, concrete, masonry, asphalt, vinyl siding and fiberglass. If put on a more flexible surface, such as a vinyl covering, it may crack and peel as the surface bends and moves. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

                  Answer This Question

A:  Interesting question! Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Brush is an easy to use, rubberized protective utility coating designed to fill and seal leaks and cracks. It provides a water-tight, flexible seal that prevents moisture penetration, rust and corrosion. LeakSeal cannot be used to paint the floor of a chicken coop. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

                  by|Apr 28, 2020

A:  I wouldn’t. The toxic smell lingers for about a week, and the rubbery texture of the finished product doesn’t hold up to tread wear. I know that my chickens would peck at it when it started to come up.

A:  Sorry but I don't have an answer for you when it comes to this product being safe. I bought it strictly for my pergola beams overhead. I needed to seal them to prevent rain water getting inside , and this product did that for me. I suggest you call the manufacturer re any safety issues.

Q:Will this work as a barrier to stop or help stop condensate from forming on the bottom exterior of a window a/c to keep the sill dry? (I don't mean that which forms inside the unit).

A:  Hi Elmer, while our Rust-Oleum Stops Rust LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating will not prevent condensation from forming, it will protect the surface it is applied to from moisture damage. There are specialty insulating coatings available that are designed to insulate the surface and prevent condensation from forming, however, Rust-Oleum does not currently offer this type of coating. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2

A:  It can't stop the condensate from forming. That's an issue of the a/c unit. But, it will protect the wood that is being affected by the condensate.

A:  I'm not an expert. Nor have I tried to use this product in this way. How ever if I was to try to I would sand the surface to give it teeth for the leak seal to grab onto. Hope this helps you.

A:  Glad to lend a hand, Grace. Immersion in water is a very aggressive environment for paints. Most of our paints, including Rust-Oleum Stops Rust LeakSeal Paint, are not intended to be underwater or below ground and may peel, blister, or show rust (on metal) in a very short time. If there are any small holes or cracks on the exterior of the barrel, you can certainly use this product in those areas. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5
