Q:Can this be used on a Sloan flushometer if we tape up the lever to prevent the spray from getting inside the valve? Do we need to use a primer? We do not want it to affect the flushing mechanism or water stoppage. It would not come into contact with water

While Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint and Primer in One can be used, the more the areas are exposed to water, the more likely the coating is to blister and peel. We also recommend avoiding harsh cleaning methods, as these can damage the finish as well. Because of this, we do not recommend applying Universal Spray Paint to faucets or other metal bathroom surfaces. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14

For outdoor fabrics, consider use of the Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric Spray Paint.
