A: You will need to have the lock rekeyed by a local Locksmith in order to get a new key. If you have any other questions or require any further assistance, please call us at 888-805-9837 or email consumerschlage@allegion.com.

A: The short answer is that you can re-pin the lock. There are several videos online that would walk you through the process, but the expense of getting the pins and tools is getting pretty close to a new lock. A locksmith can do this easily, but cost will be more than the locks. For easy key changes in the future, you may want to look at the kwikset smart key locks, they allow you to rekey the lock without any additional costs.

A: these locks are not re-keyable. Schlage has "shot themselves in the proverbial foot" as far as I am concerned. I was a steadfast customer until I was tricked into buying this junk.

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
Thank you for asking this question! Yes, you can order the FB50 model keyed alike to your current locksets however, you would provide the 5 digit code on the physical brass keys not the code on the packaging. If you have any other questions or require any further assistance, please call us at 888-805-9837 or email consumerschlage@allegion.com.

A: I just got 3 sets and and all the keys were the same

A: No

A: No. They each come with their own particular key just for that knob. You will have to have them rekeyed before you install them in your doors if you want them to all work off the same key. Unfortunately I didn’t know that and installed the doorknobs 1st. Too late for me but I hope I saved you from my mistake. They will do it for you at Home Depot however I don’t know if there is a charge for that.
