        A:  Scotty, the Scotts Turf Builder Pacific Northwest Mix is made of 40% Citation Fore Perennial Ryegrass, 30% Brightstar SLT, 15% Tiffany Chewing Fescue, and 15% Boreal Creeping Red Fescue. The types and breakdowns of seeds can change throughout the year due to availability. Each bag will have the breakdown of type and cultivar of seed and the percentage of each on its seed label.

              A:  rld, while birds do eat seed, Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Pacific Northwest Mix is not a preferred food item for birds, If they do eat it, they will only eat a very small percentage of what was planted, leaving plenty to germinate and establish.

                    A:  Yes, but do some research to be sure you do the job right. April or September is best for the Pacific Northwest. Mow the lawn low. Thatch and aerate if possible. Spread half an inch of compost. Scatter the seed (USE TWICE AS MUCH AS THE LABEL SAYS), then gently rake it in. Wait until it is well established before applying starter fertilizer. Here is the key thing: Water the area 3-4 times a day until it sprouts (8-10 days), then once a day until it reaches 2 inches. Let it grow to 3 inches then cut it back to two.
