A:  Hi Paddler, Coco Birch engineered hardwood flooring is 3/8" thick and has a veneer wear layer that measures 1.2mm. It's important to note that an engineered floor with a 1mm wear layer cannot be sanded and refinished to remove deep scratches; it can only be recoated. Therefore, it is not recommended to sand and refinish this particular product. —Shaw Team
