A:  It can be cut with snips. As far as the ease of cutting if yo need to go all the way across panel i would suggest a circular saw with a metal blade.

A:  I do not fully understand the question. But we have trims like roof edge, rake edge, and ridge caps for typical roofing applications.

A:  This is actually a green panel. One side is green and the other side has a primer in white.

A:  Depending on where you live and if this is a habitable building the code may require the shingles to be removed. Check your local building codes.

A:  they could be you'll need longer screws and you have to strap the roof. it is best to strip the roof and use ice and watersheild then attach roofing

A:  Do not forget the foam insulation while replacing the roof. Gives you an extra layer of water proofing and great insulation without thermal bridging of the rafters. Watch matt risinger's videos on metal roofing.

A:  It depends on the codes in your area. If allowed most people would strip the roof and then attach to the strips.

A:  I do not know why you could not? But you will have to use a longer fastener. The important is to not over torque it.

A:  I installed these over shingles on my garage.  Had to put down some furring strips first but it was worth it over removing all those shingles.

A:  This roofing can be applied over existing roofing,the length of the fastener may have to be longer. I believe you will want 3/4 inch penetration into base roofing. Literature should specify.

A:  they usually go over the shingles with "furring strips" , then the metal roof gets attached to them. so yes, most of the time the asphalt shingles stay on
